Product Description

The Schneider Electric TAC Xenta 401, part number 0-073-0101-2, is a legacy programmable controller from the TAC Xenta 400 series. It was designed for advanced building automation, HVAC, heating and air-handling applications, including scheduling, alarm handling, trend logging and PID control. Unlike controllers with integrated physical I/O, the Xenta 401 works with external TAC Xenta 400-series I/O modules over a LONWorks TP/FT-10 network. The system can be expanded to support up to 100 physical inputs/outputs through 10 expansion modules. The controller supports 24 VAC or 19–40 VDC power, includes a 32-bit CPU and 2 MB Flash memory, and provides an RS-232 interface for connection to TAC Menta/programming equipment. Because the 0-073-0101-2 is discontinued, it can be particularly valuable as a replacement unit for facilities maintaining older TAC Xenta installations where replacing the complete building-management system would be significantly more expensive.
